Truth be told I'm a little bored by all the Single Crochet but it looks fantastic and I can't wait to chuck it round my neck. Here it is in all it's unfinished glory.
See that mark there on the right hand side, where it's a bit lighter... that's not a mark on the wool, or mucky kids splodging it, it's sunshine! Fluph is in Dundee and opened in December. It's like a home from home and you can prattle on
about yarn and crafty plans and pass away an hour squishing beautiful

Kat's blog Slugs On The Refrigerator, how good is that name, I just love the silliness, is a really good read and has some great tutorials. Best of all it's in The Book People Sale so is the price of a mag. I love a bargain. It's made a lot longer by Pinterest, hours and hours spent oogling, if oogling even a word, lots of beautiful things and pinning tutorials to come back to later. It's been a bit dreary in that post Christmas way when it rains and the wind blows I have have been crocheting some colour.

Nearly FOUR years! I've been very busy since I last posted here with the two biggest crafting projects ever! At 3 and three quarters ("Am I four yet Mummy or am I still three?") Wee Man keeps me busy with his endless questions and need for cuddles, along with Little Lass ("Mine!" "More!" and "Gone") who is lots more than a year old but a bit less than 2, and aRhiannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06551501185923792777noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4854671236621913173.post-60454787194979111972010-01-01T18:29:00.003+00:002010-01-01T18:41:36.064+00:00Happy New YearWow, what a busy second half of 2009 I had, as you may have guessed by my absence here! We have bought and renovated our new home, a mega project! I'll update you with photos and full details soon but meanwhile this Christmas Holiday I have been inspired into playing with textiles while listening to the Craftsanity podcasts. Also I've been reading Betz White's Inspirational Blog Lots of fabulous Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4854671236621913173.post-63642942833165462462009-05-18T19:32:00.004+01:002009-05-18T20:32:12.950+01:00Crochet!I've finally got the hang of crochet by following the amazing pattern of Lucy from Attic 24. I absolutely love it. It's made of Debbie Bliss DK Cotton and it came together really quickly. I'm totally addicted now and have plans for a bedspread...I also made a teddy, hereafter known as wonky teddy, cause he is just a tad. He's tiny and just sits in a hand. Made from a pattern here.If you're into Unknownnoreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4854671236621913173.post-32797430848161045952009-04-12T15:17:00.005+01:002009-04-12T15:47:46.581+01:00Buttons & BeadsI've not been playing with paper these last few weeks. I have a sudden need to try something new and different. I got my beads out and got hold of some buttons off ebay. I went a bit bead crazy a few years ago and luckily they don't go off. Here's my new bracelet, a mix of czeck and indian glass. This is my first button necklace, I'm going to take it apart and thread it onto something a bit Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4854671236621913173.post-42986861326416150232009-03-15T14:07:00.006+00:002009-03-15T17:46:51.068+00:002 days lateYes I'm late again, but since DCM is all about having fun, it's not a crisis. This is my interpretation of Kathy's recepie dare this week. A really fun set of ingredients: buttons, 3 papers, chipboard, ribbons, and my extra, a Basic Grey rubbon and as I've only just realised, the Papermania turny things- eeeek broke the rules. I ended up playing about with some dingbat fonts in Photoshop to make this little picture, cute eh! The fonts are Tombats 7 for the cat, Eller for the two fish and Komika Bubbles for the thought bubble. Once I was half way through I very nearly gave up but it was worth it. Quite therapeutic to do in front of the telly but I'll only make one, lol!Fiskars cloud scissors, hole punch, berisfords ribbon and a scalloped cuttlebug cut circle. Honest I was finished in time but then I got distracted *blush*. Now the first thing that got me into cardmaking, well the most recent time, was when I went to a calligraphy class. They're used all the time in scrapbooking where it's extra personal to read someone's words and memories in their own hand. I'm loving bright summery colours at the moment, and the BG Gypsy papers are still a favourite, even though in crafting time they're old enough to draw their pension!Felt die cut letters & flower, BG Gypsy paper, scallop scissors, cuttlebug embossing, ribbon and a papermania brad.
